The bonding number has a home

Every contract carries its bond or surety number alongside the contract number. On bonded public work that is not a nice-to-have, and a generic project tool has nowhere to put it.

Several jobs can sit under one contract, and work that arrived as a PO or a handshake can exist without one. Both are normal, so both are supported.

Archive what is finished, restore what was deleted by mistake — as the whole batch it belonged to.

Archive rather than delete

Finished contracts and jobs archive out of the active list and stay readable. The Status filter brings them back when somebody asks about a job from two years ago.

Deleting a customer sweeps its children — and restoring brings them back together

Delete a customer and its contracts, jobs, shifts and task sheets go with it as one batch. Restore that batch and all of it returns. You never restore a customer and find its jobs missing.

A permanent delete is its own permission

Emptying the trash for good is held separately from being able to delete. The irreversible action is the one that takes a deliberate right.

Questions contractors ask

Is this a CRM?

No, and it does not try to be. There are no deal stages or email sequences. It is the record of who you work for, what you have signed with them, and what is still out to bid — which is what a contractor actually needs to see.

Can a job exist without a contract?

Yes. Plenty of work arrives as a purchase order or a handshake. A job can hang off a contract or stand alone, and when there is no contract price the job says so rather than reporting a margin against nothing.

Where do bonding numbers live?

On the contract, next to the contract number and value. Bonded public work asks for it constantly and most generic project tools have nowhere to put it.

What happens if someone deletes a customer by mistake?

It goes to the app-wide trash as a batch — the customer and its contracts, jobs, shifts and task sheets together. Restoring the batch brings all of it back. Permanent deletion is a separate permission.
